The heated public display between comedians D.L. Hughley and Mo’Nique, over an alleged decision by the ‘Contrarain’ performer to not perform on stage if Mo’ is the headliner for a recent show in Detroit, continues.

After Mo’s scathing accusations on stage, the two would go on social media display, each hoping to set the record straight, with Hughley convincingly pointing out some flawed points in Mo’s receipts on Instagram. However, the feud will turn personal after Mo’ attacked the comedian’s family in her most recent address, resulting in a response by Hughley’s oldest daughter, Ryan Nicole Shepard.

Taking to Instagram to address Mo’s ‘disrespectful’ remarks about her mother and younger sister, Shepard captioned:

“Out of all things you could have legitimately said about my dad, if that’s the route you wanted to take, you chose to be deliberately mean and hurtful to two Black women who have nothing to do with this conversation,” she wrote. “Using my mama and my sister to show people my father’s character only shows how little mental stability, dignity, morality and respect you have not only for yourself but other Black women.”

Mo’ had shared a clip of Hughley apologizing for previously dismissing his daughter’s alleged sexual assault claim, as the comedian appeared to side with the person accused of committing the crime.

Mo’ captioned the clip, “When I said ‘how can DL’s wife suck the d**k of a coward’, this is what I meant.”

Addressing Mo’s statements in her message, Shepard went on:

“You’re disgusting and you absolutely need to keep every single member of MY family’s name out of your poisonous mouth,” Shepard wrote. “Not because you can do us harm, you can’t. But because you are adding to the historical and systematic disrespect and trauma of other Black women… who you claim to love. And for what? A check?”

Shepard then invited Mo’Nique to have an in-person discussion about the situation, and it appears Mo’ is willing.
