DaBaby debuts into the world of fashion by partnering with fashion brand boohooMAN on a huge summer collection, which will be released on June 30.
boohooMAN and the “VIBEZ” rapper collaborated on a 100-piece limited edition collection via virtual meetings held in Manchester, UK, and Charlotte, NC, presumably due to travel restrictions and safety measures.
Speaking of the newest addition to his endeavours, the “Rockstar” rapper said to Billboard:
“I love me some mutually beneficial partnerships,” DaBaby said.. “It’s always a blessing, so them wanting to work with me made things pretty easy. Them giving me the opportunity and creative input on the designs and what was going on with everything — that definitely made it a silky smooth collaboration.”
He goes on to share of his state of mind while designing the collection:
“I love being comfortable when I dress because I do so much moving around. But I also like looking good while being comfortable, so I like to find a middle ground with making clothes that you can still move around in but at the same time, they’re still very expressive and give some sense of style.”
The “Masterpiece” rapper then talks about his favorite piece in the collection, saying he loves the “all white shorts set with the shirt and daisy dukes” the most.
Addind: “I feel free when I wear it,” he reveals. “It’s all white, nice and clean. I feel like that’s to move for the summertime. If it had nothing to do with me, I would still buy it.” Dababy can be seen sporting the pair during his campaign for the collection.
The Grammy Award-winner explains the need for a personal fashion style, says “just be yourself, that’s what fashion is,” he tells fashion enthusiasts. “Expressing yourself. If you’re being yourself, you can’t go wrong.”
