The ‘Avengers’ star secured another upcoming thriller with Netflix after the success of the original movie ‘Extraction’ with the streaming platform.
According to reports, Chris Hemsworth will be starring alongside the likes of Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett.
The film is an adaptation of a George Saunders short story that tells the story of convicts who sign themselves up to volunteer as test patients in a medical experiment that uses emotion-altering drugs in a bid to reduce their prison sentences. The drugs force the convicts to grapple with their pasts in the testing facility that is run by a brilliant scientist and visionary.
It is the latest high-profile project for Netflix. It shelled out $30 million for “Malcolm & Marie with Zendaya and John David Washington.
The script will be done by Zombieland and Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Hemsworth will be a producer on the film and Joseph Kosinski who is directing ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ is set to direct.
