As part of their commitment to increase diversity on and off TV, Channel 4 has announced it will be allocating 24 hours of broadcasting to explore Black content on Friday, Sept. 10th.

‘Black To Front’ will feature re-runs of the beloved ‘90s specials such as ‘Come Dine With Me,’ ‘Countdown,’ ‘Googlebox,’ ‘Big Breakfast,’ and more. The line-up will also include new reality series such as ‘Big Age,’ penned by renowned novelist Bolu Babalola, and ‘Highlife.’

As previously reported, Zeze Millz and Capital Xtra Breakfast host Yinka Bokinni’ recently announced ‘Unapologetic’ show will also be part of the line-up for Friday. The pair and their guests will explore topics ranging from racism and colorism to Black Lives Matter and social media on the late-night show.

Produced by Jamal Edwards’ SBTV and Cardiff Productions, ‘Unapologetic’ which airs at 11:35 pm, seeks to offer alternative viewpoints to critical and topical discussions and package them as freely as possible.

In a statement, Edwards said: “This opportunity represents the chance to hear the diversity in opinion around issues affecting all of us in a fresh way. It’s time to shake things up and bring new views to the mainstream. I believe Unapologetic will represent the viewpoints of my generation in a provocative and entertaining style.”
