Britney Spears, once regarded as the greatest performer of her time, has endured loud cries from fans to return to the stage and remind music fans why she was so revered.
But, based on a new video posted to Spears’ Instagram account, the 39-year-old may have different ideas in mind.
Taking to social media on Thursday, June 17th, the ‘If U Seek Amy’ singer confirmed her lack of interest to return to stage performance during a Q&A session with her adoring Britney Army.
“Am I going to take the stage? Will I ever take the stage again?” she asked, before answering, “I have no idea. I’m having fun right now. I’m in a transition in my life and I’m enjoying myself, so that’s it.”
The news comes a little over a year after Spears’ son, Jayden Federline, enraged her fans by claiming she “may quit music forever” which was in contradiction to what Britney had said the year before.
While Britney did not clarify, many assume that the aforementioned “transition” is likely to be related to her upcoming conservatorship court hearing, set for June 23, which also happens to be the first time the Popstar will speak for herself since she requested to have her father, Jamie Spears, removed as conservator.
