The news was sent in the form of a letter to Jamie Spears and Jodi Montgomery, who both serve as court-appointed co-conservators to Britney Spears.
According to Deadline’s Dominic Patten, Larry Rudolph revealed in the letter that he hasn’t communicated with his client in more than two and a half years.
“Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire,” Rudolph said in the letter. “As you know, I have never been a part of the conservatorship nor its operations, so I am not privy to many of these details. I was originally hired at Britney’s request to help manage and assist her with her career. And as her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”
Rudolph said at the end of the letter that he’s “incredibly proud” of the work he and Spears has done in the last 25 years, while wishing the pop icon “all the health and happiness in the world,” and agreed to take up his duties if the circumstances changed in the future.
This comes weeks after Spears testified in court about the state of her conservatorship which the ‘Piece Of Me’ singer described as “abusive” with detailed revelations of the instances.
