According to TMZ, Bobby Brown has caught wind of the whispers regarding a prospective remake of Whitney Houston’s “Bodyguard,” which the multi-hyphenate regards as a huge mistake.

Per the outlet, Bobby outright disapproved of the move, as he was asked if he thinks redoing such a masterpiece is a poor choice, and without hesitation, he replied saying, “Yeah.”

Many fans, like Bobby, reacted to the news of the remake suggesting the move wasn’t welcomed. Tony-nominated writer Matthew Lopez has reportedly been tasked to pen a reworking of the classic 1992 romance drama starring Whitney and Kevin Costner.

‘Bodyguard’ at the time of its release, was a huge box office hit, grossing over $400 million globally, with even more impressive soundtracks which went on to become the best-selling film soundtracks of all time, with iconic Whitney classics like “I Will Always Love You.”

However, Brown was pleased to learn that Rolling Stone had named Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” as their number one song of all time.
