According to sources, Bill Cosby is still eager to head back into stand-up comedy and is actively talking to promoters to make that happen.

The newly freed comedian’s spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, told reporters on Thursday that Cosby has “been talking to a number of promoters and comedy club owners” and “is just excited the way the world is welcoming him back,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“A number of promoters have called. Comedy club owners have called,” Wyatt said to Inside Edition, “People want to see him.”

As recently reported, Cosby was acquitted of all charges with prejudice by the state Supreme Court due to a deal the comedian cut with former Montgomery County prosecutor Bruce Castor, who agreed not to criminally prosecute Cosby if he agreed to give a deposition in a civil case brought against him by Constand.

Following Cosby’s acquittal, Gloria Allred, the attorney who represented the 33 women who spoke out against the shamed comedian, termed the court’s decision to overturn his conviction “devastating.”

According to Variety, Allred said of the decision: “This decision by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court today to overturn the conviction of Bill Cosby must be devastating for Bill Cosby’s accusers,” Allred said, “… Despite the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision, this was an important fight for justice and even though the court overturned the conviction on technical grounds, it did not vindicate Bill Cosby’s conduct and should not be interpreted as a statement or a finding that he did not engage in the acts of which he has been accused.”
