Ashanti hasn’t released a new album in over seven years, but it looks like the wait is finally over for new music from the R&B legend.
The singer has been combining her solo songs with her entrepreneurial and acting endeavors in recent years. However, it appears that a more cautious return to music is in the works.
Taking to social media, the ‘Always On Time’ hitmaker wrote on her IG Story:
“I definitely have over a hundred songs on this computer. I gotta stop procrastinating. It’s time.”

‘Braveheart,’ Ashanti’s most recent studio album, debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in 2014.
In other news, as part of the Class of 2022, she will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
