The Washington DC-native took to Twitter on Monday, Nov 29th claiming that she has been detained in Amsterdam over a racial profiling incident.

According to Ari’s tweets, it appears she was being profiled by airport security immediately after arriving in Amsterdam, Netherlands, which prompted the singer to tweet, “F*ck Amsterdam security. They hate black people.”

Before sharing a follow-up tweet 20 minutes later, which read: “They’re arresting me,” adding “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.”

Additional tweets that appear to have been deleted were obtained by a Twitter user, implying that the profiling was spurred by an encounter with KLM, a Netherlands-based airline.

The incident occurred soon after her performance at the 2021 Soul Train Awards on Sunday, alongside Summer Walker.
