The highly-anticipated Aretha Franklin biopic ‘Respect’ which is directed by Liesl Tommy is ready for prime time and to our pleasant surprise, Entertainment Weekly shared some exclusive stills for fans.
The film which is set to premiere officially in theatres during the Martin Luther King weekend on the 15th of January 2021, will first be shown in limited theatres on December 25th.

The stills shared by Entertainment Weekly shows Jennifer Hudson who was handpicked by Franklin herself, step into her role fiercely and is accompanied by Forest Whitaker who is starring as C.L. Franklin, with Marlon Wayans as Ted White, Mary J. Blige as Dinah Washington, and more.
With all this amazing list of actors, ‘Respect’ promises to be a captivating film and it is meant to tell Aretha’s story in the most candid way possible.
