According to Deadline, Anthony Mackie has signed a new deal which will see him cast in Captain America 4.
While Mackie’s involvement has been revealed, further details of the film are being kept tight-lipped as it is currently unclear if Sebastian Stan, who co-starred with Mackie in the critically-acclaimed Marvel Studios Disney+ short series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will be involved.
This is Mackie’s project, according to the unofficial title, and it’s a pivotal point in his career for the 42-year-old actor, who remains as an exceptional part of the Marvel Universe.
Malcolm Spellman, the writer of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and series staff writer Dalan Musson are penning Captain America 4. However, per reports, the forthcoming film is not the top-secret project alluded to by Justin Kroll, which may bring Chris Evans back in the mix.
