Anthony Joshua keeps his title as world heavyweight champion following his knockout victory against Kubrat Pulev at Wembley’s SSE Arena.
The historic fight came to an abrupt stop when Joshua knocked out Kulev during the ninth round with a wicked right-hand hook, intended to stop the show.
Attendance was limited to 1000 fans due to coronavirus restrictions but that wasn’t any hindrance to fans reaction as they jubilated when the boxer walked out to “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes.
After the win, AJ said in an interview: “I hope everyone was satisfied tonight. For me, I stuck to what I know best, boxing. You ask the crowd what they want to see.”
He added, “Whoever has the belts I want to compete with. If that is Tyson Fury, let it be Tyson Fury.”
Well, Tyson Fury seems to be eager about the fight too, as he took to Twitter to share a video teasing the heavyweight champion.
.@anthonyfjoshua it’s a matter of time….. ⏰ ⏰ ⏰ I’ll spank you like I did @BronzeBomber 2/3 rounds. #YOUBUMSOSER #letsgetiton pic.twitter.com/7m8A8Je0ui
