Adele is preparing to release her rumoured tell-all documentary on her new relationship with Rich Paul, according to Page Six, as well as her postponed Las Vegas residency, ‘Weekends With Adele,’ which was scheduled to take place at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum.
The “Hello” singer fell in love with the renowned sports agent after disclosing to Oprah the details of her divorce from her ex-husband Simon Konecki. The documentary is expected to include behind-the-scenes footage from their courting.
According to a source who spoke with The Sun on July 15, the documentary will be her “most insightful work yet” and cover both her relationship with Paul and the abrupt cancellation of her Las Vegas residency in January.
She explained, “Adele feels she let fans down somewhat with how the past 12 months have panned out, particularly the last-minute postponement of her Las Vegas residency, and sees [making a documentary] as a way of making up for that.’
Adding, “One thing is for certain, it will be must-watch TV. Even though everyone knows her name, Adele is still quite mysterious as a person. Her life now compared to when she released her debut album is unrecognizable.”
The news comes after Adele recently defended her decision to cancel her Las Vegas residency, telling Lauren Laverne of BBC Radio 4 in a new interview:
“I was devastated and I was frightened about letting them down, and I thought I could pull it together and make it work and I couldn’t, and I stand by that decision,” she said.
Adding, “You can’t buy me, you can’t buy me for nothing. I’m not going to just do a show because I have to or because people are going to be let down or because we’re going to lose loads of money.”
Adele also told her fans at her first public concert in five years that new dates for her Las Vegas residency would be announced, “very, very soon.”
