As previously reported, the forthcoming series follows the journey of four women in their 40s who are reuniting for a chance to reclaim their fame and recover the charisma they had in their 1990s group, which made them hip-hop stars, according to the network.
The cast of the forthcoming drama features an outstanding roster of actresses including Eve who is set to play Brianna aka Professor Sex, Naturi Naughton who plays Jill aka Da Thrill, Nadine Velazquez who plays Valeria aka Butter Pecan, Taylor Selé who plays Eric Jones, Pepi Sonuga who plays Lil Muffin, and Brandy who plays Naomi aka Xplicit Lyrics.
The Laughing Place reports that the series will include new original music overseen by executive music producer Swizz Beatz. Eve has announced that new music will be added to the TV series’ soundtrack which will serve as her first release since her 2013 album ‘Lip Lock.’
Speaking of what to expect, Eve said: “The music from this is so incredible, honestly. If you’re looking for new music, this music is going to feed you, trust me, from all of us… This is a great way to kind of dip my toes, my whole body, actually, not just my toes, my whole body back into music without having the actual pressure of an album. I get to have fun and be this other character and also do incredible music. Trust me, when you hear it, you’re going to love it.”
