In news just in, Kenya Barris’ Mixed-ish follows suit as another of ABC’s Tv series to be dropped following the recent announcement of ‘Black-ish’ ending after season 8.
‘Mixed-ish‘ upon its premiere as one of the three spinoffs from ‘Black-ish’ was met with positive reviews in its first season, but not so much in its second. The show was dropped from ABC’s programming schedule due to dwindling rating’s figures during its second season.
Furthermore, with the Tracee Ellis Ross-narrated sitcom, a few other favorite shows were canceled (which starred Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tika Sumpter, Christina Anthony, and more).
The networks report read: “Comedies “American Housewife” and “Mixed-ish” and dramas “For Life” and “Rebel” have all been canceled at ABC. A cancellation for the comedy “Call Your Mother” was previously announced.
“American Housewife” has aired five seasons and logged more than 100 episodes at ABC. “For Life” has aired two seasons on ABC. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, there are plans to shop the series to other outlets for a potential third season.”
This report comes days after Donald Glover took to social media to share about the risk of ‘getting cancelled’ in the industry.

Well, so it may seem the ‘Atlanta’ star was on to something.
