The announcement took place on Aaliyah’s official social media handles, telling fans to expect new content in 2021.
Taking to Instagram, Aaliyah’s estate shared the news saying: “Thank you for all of your love and support, we are proud to announce that the Estate is now in control of the “Aaliyah” YouTube account. 2021 will be the year of Aaliyah! See you all in the new year!”
The estate also shared a more detailed message to fans on Twitter:

This news comes after the estate announced months back that Aaliyah’s music will soon be coming to streaming platforms and this announcement comes to assert that promise.
Fans will be excited to know they will soon be able to stream their favorite songs of the late Aaliyah.
