After a two-year-long wait, fans of HBO’s ‘Euphoria’ series can rest assured that the follow-up to the 2019 series is making a return early next year.

HBO also released a new teaser for Zendaya’s acclaimed Sam Levinson-created series. While the first season ended more than two years ago, fans were treated to a special two “bridge episodes,” the first which as titled “Trouble Don’t Last Always,” was released in December of last year and was about Zendaya’s character Rue, while and the second episode, titled “Jules” was released in January of this year, focusing on the co-writer Hunter Schafer’s character Jules.
Zendaya won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2020 Primetime Emmys for her role as Rue, making her the youngest person to ever receive the award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
During a promo for Netflix’s Malcolm & Marie film, directed by Sam Levinson and also starred John David Washington, Zendaya told GQ that Levinson had originally pitched her on a “meta-Disney” horror project, saying:
“He’s like, ‘What if we did something almost like a horror movie where you’ve lost it because you still think you’re on K.C. Undercover?’”
