The 2021 BET Awards will forever remain as one that birthed distinctive memories in the minds of music lovers as the event honoured some of Hip-Hop and R&B’s best artists with stunning performances from the likes of Cardi B, H.E.R., and more during a chaotic period in our lives.
According to Connie Orlando, EVP of specials, music programming, and music strategy, this year’s roster was exceptionally strong packed, with the most performances in the 21-year history of the BET Awards. Swizz Beatz’ DMX tribute, H.E.R., Tyler, the Creator, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Migos were amongst the performers for the night, with special appearances from the likes of DaBaby, Andra Day, City Girls, Jazmine Sullivan, DJ Khaled, Kirk Franklin, Moneybagg Yo, Rapsody, Roddy Ricch, Griselda, Just Blaze, and more to end the night.
With surprises like H.E.R.’s latest single “We Made It” and Cardi B’s pregnancy reveal, there is so much to enjoy from the night.
